Gallup Film Foundation presents:
Documentary: Made In New Mexico and OPAL (Short Narrative)
An inside look at the film and media-making industry in New Mexico – from its history to its future – and how progressive tax incentives fueled a boom in production stirring up political controversy over the industry’s true value to the state in difficult financial times. Featuring interviews with the key players in New Mexico’s film industry. After documentary Ramona Emerson will present her short film “OPAL”. There are three things in life that Opal Shorty loves: her bike, Grandma's mutton stew, and Charles Bronson movies. But when the sanctity of her summer is threatened by the town bully and his NO GIRLS ALLOWED restrictions, Opal is forced to rise to the occasion and take him down!
There will be a Q & A session after the movie.
