RMCHCS Cerner Community Works

To Our Community,

While you are in our hands, we are committed to quality in
your comfort, safety and recovery.

Quality also includes timely communication between you and
your healthcare team.

That is why RMCHCS is launching Cerner Community Works SM .
At midnight, April 10, 2022, we are replacing multiple dissimilar
technologies used in storing your electronic health record (EHR)
with one integrated system, improving the information-sharing
experience for you and those caring for you.

We might ask you again for information you previously shared
with us: address, phone numbers, identification and insurance.

It is part of the process for switching over to the improved
technology.

Thank you for your patience as we put patients’ needs, like
yours, first.

Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services Makes Technology Switch to Improve the Patient Experience

GALLUP, N.M. – April 5, 2022 – Patients of Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services (RMCHCS) can soon receive medical care at any location in the organization and their health records will ‘follow them’ via one integrated electronic health record (EHR) system. At midnight April 10, RMCHCS is launching Cerner CommunityWorksSM technology – replacing multiple dissimilar technologies and improving the information-sharing experience in one platform for patients and their healthcare providers.
RMCHCS believes the improvement means more time focused on treating a patient and less time searching for additional health records that could provide valuable information for the current visit. In the new system, physicians and other healthcare providers can view a patient’s records from a visit to a clinic, outpatient site, emergency room or a stay in the hospital.
“During the transition to the use of CommunityWorks, the registration process at your healthcare visits will require just a few minutes longer,” said Brian Beals, project manager with RMCHCS. “Please be patient with us as we collect again, the same information you previously provided to us such as address, phone numbers, emergency contacts and insurance information.”
Beals says patients can help ease the transfer of information to the CommunityWorks system by bringing their current identification and insurance cards with them to their next visit at any RMCHCS location.
