Community Outreach and Development Coordinator – McKinley County

Big Brothers Big Sisters is looking for a hard-working, driven individual who is well connected to the
communities of Gallup, Grants, and Window Rock.
Responsibilities include developing relationships with private, government, and tribal sectors of the
community to recruit mentors and youth into our program as well as assist with fund development. This
includes but is not limited to giving presentations, setting up informational booths, soliciting corporate
sponsors, and helping to organize events.
Strong oral communication skills, relationship building skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
are required for the success of this job. A background in marketing, public relations or fund development
is preferred.

The Community Outreach and Development Coordinator will report to the Managing Regional Director.

This is a part time, exempt position (32 hours/week). Base salary range of $28,288 to $36,608,
plus benefits. Payrate and hours negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum:
• Bachelor of Arts degree plus 4 years of fundraising experience preferred. Additional
fundraising experience or transferable skills may be substituted for part of the
educational requirement
• Willing and able to work irregular hours and have a flexible work schedule when
necessary. Available to attend events in the early morning, evening, and weekends
• Willing and able to use personal vehicle for local travel on Agency business, with valid
NM driver’s license and proof of insurance
